Myers Beach offers a wide selection of colorful establishments, from casual beach-side spots to bistros serving fine wine and gourmet specialties. Our fine Ft. Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce member restaurants speak for themselves and do not stay secrets for long.

Ft. Myers Beach restaurants are as creative and unique as their names and their differences in menus and ambiance. Of course, you’ll want to plan at least a few of your meals to include the tastes of our own native seafood harvest, fresh off the docks and delivered to our local restaurants. Choose from grouper to mullet, pompano, red snapper and shrimp to stone crab – served in surroundings that reflect the relaxed Florida lifestyle.

FORT MYERS BEACH, FLORIDA, April 20, 2016—The Greater Fort Myers Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announced that the 21st Annual Taste of the Beach will be held Sunday May, 1st, 2016. The popular food festival held on Fort Myers Beach will include approximately 16 restaurants plus promotional vendors and live music provided by Jo List and Friends from 12-4pm.

Local restaurants will serve up samples of their best signature dishes available for purchase. They will also be competing for the top Taste of the Beach Award honors in several categories including; Best Appetizer, Best Dessert, Best Meat, Best Chicken Dish, Best Seafood Dish, Best Decorated Booth, and People’s Choice. The Festival gates will open at 11:00 a.m. and food will be served up until it runs out or until 4:00 pm. Tickets will be available on-site. Admission is $5 for adults and children over 12. All children under 12 years will be free. Food tickets are $1.00 each, with the average plate costing around $5.

There are many restaurants participating in this event, all of which are members of the Greater Fort Myers Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Some that have already signed up are Matanzas on the Bay, Pierside Grill and Famous Blowfish Bar, Bootleggers Waterfront Barbeque, Cabana’s Beach Bar and Grill, Royal Scoop, Pinchers Crab Shack, La Ola Surfside Restaurant, Fishmonger Restaurant, The Fish House, Parrot Key Caribbean Grill, Yucatan Beach Stand,  Nervous Nellie’s Crazy Waterfront Eatery, The Salty Crab Bar and Grill, The Doghouse, Beach Brew and Bakery, Uncle Dan’s Olde Fashioned Kettle Corn and Jacks Farm to Fork.  If you are a restaurant and wish to participate please contact the chamber at 239-454-7500.  If you are interested in a promotional booth please contact Georgia Reinmuth at 239-233-8652.

There are 3,000+ people expected to attend this event this year. There will be a panel of celebrity judges to do the honors of judging.  Winners will be announced from the stage at 4:00 pm.

We also have volunteer opportunities for admission, ticket sales, water sales as well as setup and cleanup.  Volunteers receive free admission, 10 complimentary food tickets and free water.  Morning and afternoon shifts are available.  Please contact Rhonda Murray at 239-454-7500 or for more information.
