Estero Boulevard Hurricane Repairs Update for week of 5/14/26
April 18, 2026 • ServicesThis project includes repairs of damaged asphalt, curb and gutter, sidewalk, pavement, pedestrian handrail, school flashers, pedestrian signals, as well as the removal and replacement of the center drain brick pavers. The contractor will also replace ADA ramps and detectible warning surfaces.
Flamingo Street to Mound Road
- Crews continue to remove and replace the center drain brick pavers on Estero Boulevard. No extended lane closures are expected for this work. Please use caution as crews work close to the travel lanes.
Buccaneer Drive to Lenell Road
- Crews are currently removing damaged concrete, such as sidewalk, curb, and gutter. Extended lane closures are not anticipated for this work; however, motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are encouraged to slow down and use caution.
Primo Drive to Miramar Street
- Crews are scheduled to remove and replace the center drain brick pavers on Estero Boulevard. No extended lane closures are expected for this work. Please use caution as crews work close to the travel lanes.
Drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to use extra caution when traveling through the work zone as workers and construction vehicles are entering and leaving the roadway. Estimated completion is fall 2027. Project cost is approximately $9 M. The contractor is Wright Construction Group.
