LPA to discuss Outrigger proposal 4/14

The Fort Myers Beach Local Planning Agency is scheduled to discuss London Bay Development Group’s application for 6200 Estero Boulevard, the former Outrigger Beach Resort property, during its meeting on April 14. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in Town Council Chambers.

London Bay is seeking to create a casual lifestyle hotel with residences that caters to locals and embraces visitors. The proposed plan includes a 100 room hotel, a 50 room condo hotel, 46 beachfront condominiums, and a variety of public amenities including a beach bar and chickee hut, beach-facing restaurant, café and market, rooftop bar and restaurant, public restrooms and wash stations, and shaded beach access and a linear park.

Once operational, the project will generate $6.7 million in property tax revenue, $1.5 million of which will directly support Fort Myers Beach, annually.
