FMB Community Foundation Kicks Things Off With Halloween Pub Crawl

November 7, 2025 Services

The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation seeks to empower members and the community by encouraging philanthropic endeavors to improve the quality of life in Fort Myers Beach. The 2024-2025 season was no exception, and the Community Foundation gave back $100,000 to the following organizations: Estero Island Historic Society, FMB MERTF, Friends of Matanza Pass Preserve, FMB Art Association, Keep Lee County Beautiful, Bay Oaks Recreation, Ostego Bay Summer Camps and equipment replacement, FMB Strong, Beach Elementary and the Beach Kids Foundation. In addition, scholarships were awarded to college students with ties to the beach. The Foundation also continues to fund an endowment at FSW that will provide scholarships for years to come.

The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation is comprised of approximately 50 women and men dedicated to responding to the ever changing and emerging needs of the community. Fund raising efforts in 2025 – 2026 will include a Casino Night, Style Show, Putt ‘N Pub as well as impromptu events that will surely arise. The Foundation is overwhelmed with gratitude for the support of both residents and businesses who generously support with both their time and donation.

The first event of the year, the Halloween Pub Crawl was a big success and resulted in $3000 that will be used to support the community later in the year.

The first meeting of The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation will be held on November 18th at the Island Pancake House. All are welcome to attend and hear a speaker from Keep Lee County Beautiful address their plans for the upcoming year.
