Artist of the Month Enjoy Stacie Krupa’s artwork on display this month throughout the 3rd Floor Commons Area. Stacie is a contemporary, expressionistic artist whose work has been described by critics as “bold, powerful and in your face.” Stacie had her own gallery on Islamorda in the Florida Keys for 18 years or you may have seen her paintings at Wendy and George’s Seafood Grille on Sanibel or on HGTV where her artwork has been featured in Dream Homes.

Story Hour Every Wednesday on FACEBOOK Children’s story time can now be viewed on our Facebook page. A new story posts every Wednesday. Materials for the accompanying craft activity can be picked up afterwards in the Children’s area and completed at home.

Journaling for Joy

Wednesday, December 2, 1:30pm, ZOOM Presentation

Join Patrice Koerper Robson to try something new. This session is all about writing for fun and increased positivity. Writing helps clarify feelings and memories and can help create new dreams and aspirations. It is free, fun and provides lasting positive effects. The power of writing has been documented in positive psychology studies of all types. Have pen and paper ready Also bring sketch paper, colored pencils, glitter pens or whatever fosters your creativity.

Shell Making Activity

Enjoy making a shell craft of your choice such as a picture frame, license plate frame, or Kleenex box. Sample items are on display at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor. They make great Christmas presents.

Come converse with Stacie Krupa about her artwork and vote for your favorite piece. The “People’s Choice” will be awarded a blue ribbon at the conclusion of the month.

Writing a Book – Avoid its Premature Birth

Author, DL Havlin’s presentation will help you do that and very, very inexpensively. The information in his presentation will allow you to submit or publish your book with confidence.
