Estero Boulevard Hurricane Repairs Update for week of 8/20/26
August 20, 2026 • ServicesEstero Boulevard Hurricane Repairs (Estrellita Drive to Crescent Street) – Construction Project: This project includes repairs of damaged asphalt, curb and gutter, sidewalk, pavement, pedestrian handrail, school flashers, pedestrian signals, as well as the removal and replacement of the center drain brick pavers. The contractor will also replace ADA ramps and detectable warning surfaces.
Miramar Street to Mango Street
Crews continue to remove and replace the center drain brick pavers on Estero Boulevard. No extended lane closures are expected for this work; however, left turns from side streets may be temporarily restricted. Please use caution as crews work close to the travel lanes.
Strandview Avenue to Sanders Drive
Crews continue to remove and replace the center drain brick pavers on Estero Boulevard. No extended lane closures are expected for this work; however, left turns from side streets may be temporarily restricted. Please use caution as crews work close to the travel lanes.
Bay Road to Lover Lane
Crews are scheduled to remove and replace the center drain brick pavers on Estero Boulevard. No extended lane closures are expected for this work; however, left turns from side streets may be temporarily restricted. Please use caution as crews work close to the travel lanes.
Drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to use extra caution when traveling through the work zone as workers and construction vehicles are entering and leaving the roadway. Estimated completion is fall 2027. Project cost is approximately $9 M. The contractor is Wright Construction Group.
