COME CELEBRATE THE 4TH OF JULY ON FORT MYERS BEACH

PARADE

Come celebrate our great nation and town pride as the Fort Myers Beach Fourth of July parade makes it way down Estero Blvd. with its colorful floats and costumed participants! The parade starts at Bay Oaks Recreation Center at 10 a.m. and continues down the boulevard to Times Square. Don’t miss this beach tradition! Be aware the Matanzas Pass Bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. until Noon for the parade.

Anyone interested in participating in the parade should contact the Bay Oaks Rec Center at 239-765-4222.

FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS

The Fort Myers Beach Fourth of July fireworks show begins at approximately 9 P.M. at Times Square. You can bring a beach chair and and enjoy the show as the beautiful fireworks light up the night sky!

EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY

There are plenty of great restaurants where you can eat and drink throughout the day. Find information on Happy Hours and check out our live music page to see who has entertainment. You might also enjoy taking a boat cruise to enjoy the local wildlife or you may want to visit one of our local parks.

PARKING

THE BRIDGE CLOSURE

Closing time for the Matanzas Pass bridge is 9pm-11:30pm to oncoming traffic.

Big Carlos Pass Bridge on the south end of the Island will remain open.

Watch the Town’s social media outlets for updates due to weather or other factors.

FIREWORKS PROHIBITED

The Town Council reminds everyone that fireworks are illegal everywhere and at all times on the beach and throughout the Town even though the state of Florida’s rules are more lax. Read the Town’s ordinance about fireworks. Fireworks are harmful to the large variety of natural resources in the beach environment in addition to being fire hazards.
