America’s Boating Course

This is a complete program covering the basics of recreational boating. This boating safety course is designed for boaters using all types of watercraft, and covers boating safety, basic navigation and the “how-to” and “don’t do” aspects of operating a recreational boat in our rivers, channels, canals and the Gulf of Mexico to enjoy safe boating.

Successful completion of the course provides the awarding of the Florida Boating Safety Education Identification Card (which is mandatory for those born on and after January 1, 1988).  The course is 8 hours, which is spread over two 4-hour sessions. The cost is $65.00/$20.00 each for additional person sharing materials, which are provided.

Local Waters – Local Charts

We also offer boaters information about our local waters so they can travel with  confidence and know routes to local marinas and restaurants accessible by water.  We offer this unique program called LOCAL WATERS/LOCAL CHARTS (LWLC).  This class is presented on a Saturday morning, for 4 hours, and costs $ 55.00/$20.00 each for additional persons sharing materials.
