Bonita Fish Company debuts new additions to seafood-forward menu

February 25, 2026 Dine

Citrus-marinated snapper and shrimp ceviche, grouper tacos and blackened snapper alfredo are recent menu additions at Bonita Fish Company on Fort Myers Beach. The waterfront seafood restaurant has also added smoked mullet dip, a barbecued brisket sandwich, Bonita Caesar salad, Key lime pie and Yucatán shrimp, the latter made famous by sister restaurant Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille. Bonita Fish Company is also offering smoked chicken wings on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

“The menu has evolved with the input from our talented culinary team as well as our customers,” said Joe Harrity, a partner with HM Restaurant Group, which manages Bonita Fish Company and Doc Ford’s, as well as Dixie Fish Company. “Diners will enjoy even more selections and a creative menu highlighting fresh, local seafood.”

The new additions include:

Snapper & Shrimp Ceviche – a new house specialty featuring citrus-marinated snapper and shrimp with a blend of mango, onion, cucumber and a touch of jalapeño.

Smoked Mullet Dip – smoked in-house and served with celery sticks, red onions, lemon wedges and fried corn tortilla chips.

Bonita Caesar Salad – fresh romaine tossed with creamy house-made Caesar dressing and croutons, topped with shredded pecorino cheese.

Yucatán Shrimp – one-half or full pound of steamed peel-and-eat shrimp tossed in a dressing of real butter, garlic, mild Colombian chilies, fresh cilantro and Key lime juice.

BBQ Brisket Sandwich – house-smoked corned brisket with sauteed poblano peppers and onions drizzled with honey BBQ sauce, served with a choice of side.

Bayside Grouper Tacos – fresh grouper served on flour tortillas with Napa cabbage, tomatoes, red onion, goat cheese and cilantro lime aioli, and a choice of side.

Blackened Snapper Alfredo – linguine alfredo with broccoli, tomatoes and pecorino cheese topped with blackened snapper, served with garlic bread.

Chicken Wings – savory house-smoked wings available on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Key Lime Pie – a homemade Florida favorite.

The new menu items join Bonita Fish Company’s popular array of appetizers, soups and salads, handhelds and entrees, including house specialties shrimp fritters, a shrimp torpedo sandwich and shrimp and grits. They also pair well with the restaurant’s signature cocktails made with fresh-squeezed juice.

With its historic location in a century-old former fish house, the highly anticipated Bonita Fish Company opened in November and specializes in fresh Gulf seafood, casual bites and cold drinks. The restaurant seats 250 guests and offers daily live entertainment, a central bar, breathtaking sunsets views and dockside dining along Matanzas Pass.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Bonita Fish Company also serves brunch Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Boat-in diners are accommodated by docks that also serve the adjoining Doc Ford’s and Dixie Fish Company.

Blending Fort Myers Beach’s rich coastal heritage with a contemporary dining experience and reimagined design, Bonita Fish Company was originally built in 1926 as a fish-packing house and most recently was the home of Bonita Bill’s. The site has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its coastal character while introducing modern features and a welcoming ambiance.

Bonita Fish Company also offers Bayside Private Events, an indoor-outdoor waterfront event venue accommodating plated dinners for 70 guests and up to 150 people for standing receptions. It’s one of a select few standalone waterfront event spaces in Lee County. A floating dock marina with 30 to 35 slips and annual leases is expected to open in 2026.

Bonita Fish Company is located at 702 Fisherman’s Wharf on Fort Myers Beach. For more information, visit bonitafishco.com or call 239-314-5132.
