COME CELEBRATE THE 4TH OF JULY ON FORT MYERS BEACH

PARADE AND FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS CANCELED

The Town of Fort Myers Beach has elected not to hold these events this year as the island continues its recovery from Hurricane Ian.

BUT YOU CAN STILL EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY

Food and libations are available on Fort Myers Beach though some restaurants are still closed. You can see a list of who’s open here. Venues with live music are listed here.

PARKING

  • Consider taking the Beach Trolley to Fort Myers Beach to enjoy Independence Day!
  • Paid parking is available in the Times Square area.
  • You can also park at one of the Town’s beach accesses. The accesses are in various states of repair post Hurricane Ian.

PRIVATE FIREWORKS DISPLAYS ARE PROHIBITED

The Town Council reminds everyone that fireworks are illegal everywhere and at all times on the beach and throughout the Town even though the state of Florida’s rules are more lax. Read the Town’s ordinance about fireworks. Fireworks are harmful to the large variety of natural resources in the beach environment in addition to being fire hazards.
