The Fourth Of July Parade And Fireworks Are Back Again To Light Up The Night!

PARADE – CANCELED

Due to imclement weather this year’s parade has been cancelled. he Matanzas Pass Bridge will no longer be closed from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

FIREWORKS

The Fort Myers Beach Fourth of July fireworks show begins at approximately 9 P.M. at Times Square. You can bring a beach chair and enjoy the show as the beautiful fireworks light up the night sky! Starting at 8:30 pm the Matanzas Pass Bridge will be closed until approximately 11:30pm.

Fireworks Cruises

Want to see the fireworks from the water? These businesses are taking passengers for fireworks cruises! As of the morning of the 4th some of these members have confired they still have spots. This is indicated below.

LIVE COVERAGE

Beach Talk Radio will be broadcasting the parade live from under the Margaritaville walkover and the fireworks from the Margaritaville sunset terrace.

EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY

Food and libations are available on Fort Myers Beach throughout the day though some restaurants are still closed. Venues with live music are listed here.

Bayside Park Concert Series

There will also be music in Bayside Park from 5 pm to 8pm. Learn more here.

PARKING

NO BUS SERVICE

Lee County will not be providing bus service on Fort Myers Beach on the 4th of July holiday, including service from the Park and Ride off the island. All bus service resumes on Saturday, July 5th.

PRIVATE FIREWORKS DISPLAYS ARE PROHIBITED

The Town Council reminds everyone that fireworks are illegal everywhere and at all times on the beach and throughout the Town even though the state of Florida’s rules are more lax. Read the Town’s ordinance about fireworks. Fireworks are harmful to the large variety of natural resources in the beach environment in addition to being fire hazards.
