Henderson Franklin Stockholder Scott Atwood Named SHRM Naples Legislative Chair

Reflecting on his appointment, Atwood shared:

Atwood brings more than three decades of employment law experience to this leadership role, including a strong foundation in workplace compliance, litigation prevention, and regulatory interpretation. His background spans representation of business owners, entrepreneurs, and public entities throughout Florida and Georgia. As Legislative Affairs Chair, he will provide members with critical insights into policy developments and employment law trends affecting workplaces across the region.
Atwood has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including past chair of The Florida Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section and president of the Lee County Bar Association. He currently serves on the University of Florida Law Alumni Council and is a certified mediator. At Henderson Franklin, he advises employers on a wide range of legal matters, from discrimination and harassment claims to wage and hour compliance, whistleblower disputes, and employment agreements.
