Water Safety Symposium
This event ended on
2600 Oak St. Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931
Learn about your liability, local statistics on drowning and how your community, business or organization can prevent drowning and other water injuries.
This symposium is for homeowner associations, property rentals, hotels and condominium associations; pool operators and managers; realtors and business owners; yacht club, power squadron, water sport and tour companies; rental boat companies and marinas.
This event is FREE of charge and for anyone in, on or near the water.
The Fort Myers Beach Fire Department (FMBFD) will also be conducting on-site hands-only CPR training for attendees. New Scientific Research has greatly impacted the treatment and survivability of out of hospital cardiac arrest patients. Research has demonstrated that if the general public knows how to effectively compress the chest and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) these actions are enough to positively impact patient outcomes. Please join us and learn how to “Keep the Beat” by learning Hands-Only CPR with the FMBFD at the Water Safety Symposium. If you wish to participate in this, please choose the appropriate option when you register.
