School Break Camp: Backyard Botany “Camp In A Box”
December 28-31, 9 a.m.

Campers aged 6 to 12 will explore the “living laboratory” of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates while our Wild Wizards teach topics in STEAM (science technology, engineering, art, and math), history and the natural world. In this session, complete “Camp in a Box” experiments and activities from home! Supplies and support from staff will be provided. School Break Camp: Day of Coding
January 4, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Campers aged 6 to 12 will explore the “living laboratory” of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates while our Wild Wizards teach topics I STEAM (science technology, engineering, art, and math), history and the natural world. In this session, using the small, but powerful Raspberry Pi, campers will use code to alter Minecraft and to create their own simple games in Scratch. Homeschool Science Scholars: The Process of Science

Grades 1-3: January 13, 2021 11 a.m.

Grades 4-6: January 14, 2021  11 a.m.

Grades 7-8: January 15, 2021 11 a.m.

Join us and explore the “living laboratory” of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. Our Wild Wizards will challenged your mind and foster collaboration in this homeschool science and engineering series. Classes take place in an outdoor classroom environment (weather permitting). In this series, science process skills are taught as students perform a series of experiments selected to generate curiosity. Register online on our website at edisonford.org or call 239-334-7419.

Emerging Inventors: Listen Up: Science of Sound

January 4 and 5, 2021 at 10 a.m.

For children ages 18 months to 5 years, Emerging Inventors programs include socializing with other children, educational activities, science experiments, and exploration of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. In this session, music is in the air thanks to Thomas Edison. Join in as we listen to a historic phonograph, make musical instruments, and learn a little about frequency and harmonics. Emerging Inventors: Digging It: Dinosaurs
January 18 and 19, 2021 at 10 a.m.

For children ages 18 months to 5 years, Emerging Inventors programs included socializing with other children, educational activities, science experiments, and exploration of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. In this session, dig up some fun and play paleontologist, as we go back to the Mesozoic Era. From creating an edible T-Rex tooth to discovering camouflage this class is all about one thing, dinosaurs. Register online at edisonford.org or call 239-334-7419.
