Dan Allers was born and raised in Minnesota. Growing up working on local farms, he learned the value of hard work at a young age. As one of seven brothers, he would be the only one to graduate high school and attend college.

After working for Home Depot as department manager, Dan formed his own construction company in 1998. As an owner operator, Dan managed every aspect of the company from Accounts Receivables to Public Relations to Business Development. He understands what it takes to balance a budget, make the necessary sacrifices to make payroll every week, and provide the customers with the service and results they desired.

In 2012 Dan relocated to Fort Myers Beach and immediately immersed himself in the community. He was appointed by the Town Council to the Bay Oaks Recreational Campus Advisory Board (BORCAB) and became a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, where he works and promotes events that enrich our sense of community. And, as a licensed boat captain, Dan is helping fight our water quality issues as a member of Captains for Clean Water.

Dan Allers is running for Town Council to be your voice in fight for the future of our island. He is committed to bringing new ideas and civility back to our government.

Bio for FMB Town Council Candidate Dennis Boback.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, I spent many years working in my parents’ business, Rex’s Auto Service. I received a BS in education from the Ohio State University. I taught high school English and enjoyed assisting with direction of high school musicals and coaching cheerleaders. Working full-time while attending law school at night, I earned a JD from the Capital University School of Law. After passing the bar, I practiced as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio and later represented senior citizens and victims of domestic violence at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus. I am also proud of the 19 years I spent as a Magistrate in family court in Franklin County. This refined my ability to listen to divergent viewpoints and sharpened my skills of mediation, leading litigants to compromise.

My husband, Carmine, and I have been property owners on Fort Myers Beach since 1999, and along with our adopted alley cat, Milo, have been full time residents on Egret Street for eight years. I worked part time at the Fort Myers Beach Library and previously served as the vice chair of the Public Safety Committee for the Town of Fort Myers Beach. My service on the Fort Myers Beach Town council from 2014-17 was a job I enjoyed, and while on council I was the town representative to the county MPO. I currently serve on the board of the Friends of the Mound House and volunteer at Chapel by the Sea in various capacities. I also chair the Board of Presbyterian Homes of Lehigh.
