Who says learning can’t be fun? The Ostego Bay Marine Science Center Summer Camps have become a tradition in the Fort Myers area. Joanne Semmer, President of the Ostego Bay Foundation stated, “We’re finding the parents that participated as children in our Summer Camps of the past are now bringing their own children to learn about nature.”

The Summer Day Camps are held every year in June and July at the Marine Science Center for children ages 6 through 15. The camps are taught by state certified science teachers who lead the campers on boat and beach adventures, teach about sea grass communities, plankton populations, mangrove tangles, and bird nesting areas. Ms. Semmer went on to say, “Our unique Summer Camps offer that special re-connection with nature, builds friendships and creates fond and lasting memories.”  Our day camps are limited in size in order to offer individual attention which increases active participation. Register early as camps fill up quickly. Learn more or pick up a registration form at http://www.ostegobay.org/marine-science-summer-camp/ or call the Center at 239-765-8101.
