Our network maintenance teams are out in the field right now accessing, locating, restoring and repairing cut lines.  Our Comcast Business network automatically alerts us about areas affected by a system outage after the storm, so we know where we need to take action. There were over 165,000 customers without services, we have decreased it to under 100,000 and it is getting better by the minute.

How do I forward my business calls?

You can forward your calls by dialing 888-710-6080 or utilizing this linkYour phones will automatically un-forward when your services are up. https://businessvoice.comcast.net/

What do I do when my power is restored?

If the Comcast network is up and/or has been restored in your area rebooting your modem may be needed to completely restore services.

For any additional question please contact Jamie_Muia@comcast.com

Generator Safety-
Division Chief Ron Martin of the Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District asks that anyone using a generator be aware of the following:

1. It is never safe to operate a generator in your home.
2. Never attempt to fuel a hot generator, heat from the generator can easily ignite flammable vapors from fuel.
3. Place your generator and make connections in a dry area.

As always if you need emergency assistance call 911. For all other needs or services please visit a Fire station. Fire Stations are located at 3043 Estero Blvd, 121 Lenell Rd and 17891 San Carlos Blvd.

Trash Pick Up-

Storm debris will be collected separately from your normal household trash and recycling.  Place debris at the curb in separate piles and clear of low hanging obstacles like trees or power lines or near anything like water meters, fire hydrants or mail boxes.

Yard waste from this storm event does not need to be bundled.  Place it in piles that can easily be managed by collection personnel with a claw truck.

Be sure to have spoiled food securely tied in plastic bags and at your curb on your regularly scheduled collection day.

Beach Businesses Open-
Most accommodation are open, please call to confirm availability. Almost all of the islands restaurants and bars are open or will be in the next couple of days. The supermarkets, gas stations and CVS pharmacy are also open for business. Gas is available on the island. Snook Bight Marina has gas and supplies for boaters.

Both Plumbing Nerds and Reflow Plumbing are standing by to help with your plumbing needs.

For a list of beach businesses that are confirmed to be open please click here.

Debris remains on many roads and intersections with dark traffic lights are especially dangerous. Any intersection with dark traffic signals should be treated as a 4-way stop.

Schools Closed-
Lee County Schools will remain closed and resume classes on Monday, September 25th. Check the Lee Schools website for more information www.leeschools.net
